2017 + THIS LITTLE MUSE | FAMILY LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHER

I thought I would take this opportunity, while sharing some favourite images from a recent family session, to chat about all the good things that I have planned in 2017!

Where 2016 was all about growing my family photography business to a level that is creatively fulfilling and financially rewarding, 2017 is ALL about teaching and growing the mentoring side of my business.  With some luck (and some classic Amy strong will), I hope to also work towards entering the speaker circuit at home and overseas.  I've never been shy about setting lofty goals, and I really believe in intention setting!  So there it is, out there in the interwebs for everyone to see!

I have lots of exciting things planned already.

In February, I will be flying over to Los Angeles to attend Yeah Field Trip: "A collective festival where art + soul meet body + mind".  There is such an amazing lineup of teachers and fellow creatives and I cannot wait to immerse myself in the experience.  Some favourites that I am excited to connect with are Summer Murdock, Mae Burke, Peter Rollins, Yan Palmer (again!), Ryan Muirhead, Molly Flanagan, Kelly Tunney, Deb Schwedhelm - and that's only naming a handful of the caliber of talent to will be there.  I'm going to take this opportunity (again!!!) to thank Yan Palmer for believing in me and offering me a scholarship to attend.  It's a dream to be able to fly over to the US for "work" and I couldn't have done it without her.  Thank you, friend.

I have a few days either side of the festival to explore LA and have some sweet little Air Bnb's booked in and around West Hollywood. I'm really looking forward to this immersive solo trip to fill my creative cup.

In March, my inaugural Life: Unmade Workshop is taking place in Mount Martha.  I was blown away by the response and can't believe it SOLD OUT in just under a week.  I cannot wait to meet these eight beautiful women and to commune and learn with them.  Due to demand, I have a Sydney workshop in the works, and may also take it to other places if there's demand.  Another total DREAM that two years ago felt so out of reach.  Teaching has always been my goal and I'm so grateful that the demand for it grew organically as my business did.

In June I travel to Noosa to photograph a dear friend's wedding, and I have plans to get away to Tasmania for a holiday with my bearded love some time later in the year.

On the radar for 2018 is Clickin' Moms "Click Away" Conference being held in Florida, USA.

Family sessions will continue as normal this year, however I am no longer taking sessions on Sundays as this is now dedicated family time after last year became a bit unbalanced!

I can't wait to see so many new faces this year, I can't wait to teach and learn from some of the best and brightest in the industry and I look forward to kicking more goals and ass as required!

Happy New Year, folks!

Amy
