Let me take a minute to chat about these boys.
When I arrived on the doorstep of Jade's beautiful home, these boys were so full of LOUD and NOISE and ENERGY. It was the kind of energy that you can feel bouncing off the walls. Just everything so opposite of calm, basically! I think in a lot of situations, parents would stress over this: We've hired this photographer who we've paid a lot of money to comes to the house, the boys are cray and I just want a nice photo of the two of them and OH MY GOD THIS IS NOT HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO! I know I felt the same way for my own family portraits when we arrived at the beach and my almost three-nager decided the sand was actually a fire pit of hell. But, I digress.
My point is, I LOVE that stuff. I LOVE the wild, the loud and the noise and the crazy. I love working with that energy as it flings me around with it, from one thing to the next to the next. Raising boys takes energy, lots of energy, and Jade has the most exuberant and beautiful energy in SPADES. She is their perfect Mumma.
The moments of calm seen here were merely breaks to catch their breath, and they would carry on again being the most wonderful, vibrant boys; boys that I could see my own little man growing to be, with any luck.
So much love for this session and this family.
