Steph + Leigh's Wedding at Home | Candid Wedding Photographer Melbourne

Settle in, folks, because this may be my longest post yet!  Grab a cuppa, because it's WELL worth it.
People who know me well know that I only do a handful of weddings per year.  I'm selective purely because I like to be completely on the same page as the couple I'm photographing.  Choosing the right wedding photographer can be hard and it's so important to get it right.  I LOVE to tell stories - not perfect stories, real stories - and I want couples who want exactly that - their story told in pictures in a very real, candid way.  Authentic is such a buzz word these days, but it's a word I still allow to guide me, and I want to photograph weddings that are truly authentic and unique to the bride and groom I am photographing.

I have photographed Steph, Leigh and their beautiful family for a few years now - a lot of you who follow my blog and social media will remember their stunning house and their seriously beautiful babies.  I adore them, particularly the way in which they show their love for each other.  It's a calm energy that envelops you as soon as you walk into their home.  It was for this reason that I knew I would absolutely say yes when Steph asked me to photograph her and Leigh's February wedding at their home.  I knew it would be something truly special.

I wasn't wrong.  Every detail was SO THEM.  The mood was relaxed, seriously joyful and fun.  Their guests were some of the happiest I have seen at a celebration - it was palpable.  It was impossible to take a bad photo - everywhere I looked there were people laughing, children playing, mates catching up and just SO MUCH LOVE for this beautiful little family.  It was an honour to be part of it and to document it for them.
